Glossary of Terms Introduction Animation is a whole other language in its own way, you could have a silent animation but it still expresses so much. The main reason why I have choose animation is because I want to Entertain, express idea’s and also discuss and share what I personally think about gender and the stereotypes associated with today’s culture. To express myself in another language and these terms I have picked will help me in that accomplishment. Term A â€Å"Entertainment† Entertainment is to provide fun, joy, amusement or a distraction. A distraction from the real world, to take the audience to another world, another place entirely that’s creates a sense of enjoyment for all to see. It can also usually involve some sort of performance, like a party, film, concert, events (Carnival, Theme Park, Circus and Theater), etc. It also is a type of creative media, which can influence the reader / intended audience emotionally, whether that’d be happy, sad, angry and or scared to relate to the character / theme. Entertainment could also be seen as an exercise for the mind, it makes you think about the occurrences in a film sense of amusement. It’s also is used to express some sort of story or a message of some kind to the audience / readers. After all entertainment is there for our leisure but it can teach us a lesson, such as not to eat too much fairy floss at the carnival or an even deeper meaning behind a Disney film for example â€Å"I nside Out†.
